Set within the Hambleden Conservation Area, The Cottage was transformed through a sensitive architectural restoration, bringing new life to a 3,550 sq ft home largely untouched since the 1960s.

The project connected the original cottage with the adjoining barn, creating a generous kitchen designed for family life and entertaining. Exposed brickwork, original timber beams and a quirky staircase reveal the history of the building, preserving its charm while reworking it for contemporary living.

Period features are balanced with considered contemporary finishes, while unique artworks and an eclectic collection of furniture gathered over many years give the interiors a personal, refined rustic feel.

The reconfigured layout includes a generous principal suite with dressing room and en suite. Rich timbers and light paintwork form a calm backdrop, with colour introduced through furniture, art and styling to bring warmth and individuality throughout.
